Sunday night, 26th May,,,Happy birthday to my African American wife.

Had a good service in church today and Bryan interpreted Pastor Omer's service for us. He spoke on although we do good works, sacrifice, give offerings that is not enough to get us to Heaven. We have to have Jesus in our lives and do what he has called us to do and we must quit living for self and sinning. Our little tree boys were gone today, but there were 2 large, preteen boys in the tree just listening and taking in God's word. Pray the Holy Spirit will speak to them. The church is having a door to door visitation in June for the homes near the church, so pray it is fruitful.

Spent a few hours at the center yesterday and had fun with the kiddos. Yesterday was one of the few days that our little friend Ooshman actually smiled and seemed happy. The kids helped us unload shelves from Amy's truck when we got there and they all wanted to help. Kids made paper bag kites and really enjoyed trying to make them fly. Our little friend, Ackmed, has really come to life. He loves playing Velcro catch and foosball. He just loves being a part of everything going on. There is a picture of him with his head down behind the foosball table, he was trying to blow the ball through the hole, so funny.

Went for a few hours to the church school and mounted some corner shelves for water jugs to sit on. Something small, but will help them with some organization in the classroom.

Today we were without power most of the day, and water was sporadic.

Went out to eat with Nelson and Maite', such servants with a love for the people here. It was a pleasure to spend our afternoon with them.

Tomorrow, hopefully we will get to the center .to do some painting and then have lunch at our home with Nelson and Maite'. Peggy is making spaghetti and garlic toast,,sounds good.

This week, Bryan wants to try to install a solar charger and inverter to help when the power goes off. Pray we can figure it out since electricity over here is not quite my cup of tea, yet.

We were walking and took a picture of a neighborhood rooster that we see in a window every day and a little bitty baby came crossing the street and sat down on the sidewalk and was so cute. Wanted to get a good picture but he was too fast for me, his mother came running out and grabbed him and took him back in.

Thanks for all the prayers, I seem to be close to 100% which is a good thing since it is getting hot.

Ken and Peggy
