Thursday Morning 7:18 and we are in Dakar, the bustling capital of Senegal and it was a madhouse yesterday with the traffic and people. I am so thankful that Amy is a wonderful driver and doesn't mind (I guess) driving. Peggy offered to help but Amy does a wonderful job.

The trip here was, hummmm fun, yep that's it. We finally got Amy to let loose and there is something about George Strait, some guy named Bieber, and somebody who has 1 direction to make her let loose.  She forced us to listen to all this and then decides to make not 1 but 2 music videos, all while driving and dodging goats and people and taxis...But she was happy and so were we.

We stopped at a Missionary couple from Ivory Coast, and met the sweet family. Talked to their 17 year old son, and I mean really talked because his English was excellent. He graduates final school over here and hopes to get into a university somewhere. Pray he can because he is a fine young man with lots of ambition and drive. Met his 2 younger sisters one of whom stayed with Amy for a while, and they are both as cute as can be. We really loved the Mom because she told us the truth about Amy,,,enough said...

We all were hungry as can be so as soon as we got here, we unloaded our stuff (actually we threw it inside the compound)  at the home we are staying, and then we headed to the center were we will work the next few days. Lots to do but it is a great ministry in a poorer part of Senegal. We will work today, then have a birthday party for the Missionary wife tonight with some more of Nelson's homemade pizza. We then headed to Times CafĂ©, were you can actually get some great American hamburgers and fries. Peggy got her usual large salad...

Amy then dropped us off at the Mall were we shopped for this weeks groceries and finally got home after 8:00 last night and we all just dropped down to relax.

We are both doing really good, sometimes I look at Peggy and say "I feel like I am at home". In St. Louis we are communicating well and have made some friendships and we never feel scared or even threatened by the society. Everyone is pleasant and loves talking and all the kids are such fun to visit with.

Will have more to share in person when we get home, but pray for all missionaries. The seeds being planted now, may not reap a harvest in our lifetime, but there will be a harvest none the less. As, Paul said, "Some plant, some water, but God gives the increase".  We who have the Gospel, have been given a precious gift, a gift which must be given away. If we keep it to ourselves, it is no longer a gift, but a possession which helps only one person. We must give it away, so that others may know and come to a knowledge of the saving grace of God......

Love you all,,thanks to everyone for your prayers and support;
